Advocate of the month!
Each month we recognize a CASA volunteer who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to advocating for children in our community. Our Featured Advocate of the Month highlights individuals who go above and beyond to ensure that children who have experienced abuse or neglect have a consistent voice and support throughout the court process. Through their compassion, commitment, and advocacy, these volunteers help create brighter futures for the children and families served in Vermilion and Edgar Counties.
Meet Lynn Holm!
Lynn Holm became a CASA in November 2024, after retiring as the supervisor of Partnership in Parenting, a home visiting program of the Shiloh School District that supports families with children under three years old. Lynn lives with her husband in rural Newman where they raised their son and daughter. She enjoys reading, gardening and horseback riding. Lynn says that promoting the best interests of abused and neglected children within the Juvenile Court system seemed like the perfect next opportunity for her.
